Signs of a Sprained Ankle

Sprained ankles are a common injury which can occur after rolling or twisting your ankle in a way that over stretches or tears the ankle ligaments. If you have sprained your ankle, you may notice bruising, swelling, stiffness or tenderness around the affected ankle. You might also have difficulty bearing weight on the ankle, which may feel weak and unstable. If the sprain is severe, you may hear a popping sound at the time of injury. How Does an Ankle Sprain Occur?
